The Investments & Wealth Institute is pleased to announce that Merrill Lynch joins several other financial firms in their endorsement of the Retirement Management Advisor®  (RMA®) certification.

Merrill Lynch advisors can now take advantage of tuition reimbursement benefits and promote the credential as part of their professional title and communications.

“This partnership opens many doors for Merrill Lynch advisors’,” said Sean R. Walters, CAE, chief executive officer, Investments & Wealth Institute. “It provides their advisors greater access to trending themes and industry experts who can help them tackle retirement-based issues challenging their clients today”.

About the RMA Certification

The RMA program focuses on unique insights and techniques for tackling client diagnostics, assessing retirement risks, and managing asset allocations as a client approaches retirement and beyond.

Focused on outcomes, not expectations, the RMA certification provides advisors with practical tools, techniques, and methodologies. The result is a set of knowledge and skills that can satisfy clients' retirement needs.

The RMA program is an advanced certificate program and pathway to certification that focuses on building custom retirement income plans to mitigate clients’ risks and to master the retirement planning advisory process, all within the increasing regulatory environment. RMA education equips certificants with the knowledge needed to speak the language of retirement-focused clients and teaches how to build a plan that includes the option of a safety-first approach— something a pure accumulation mindset does not address.
