Advisors attending Annual Conference Experience—ACE Nashville now have the opportunity to earn additional continuing education credits (CE) toward CIMA ®, CPWA ®, and CFP ® certifications by registering for one of two pre-conference workshops, Private Wealth Advice or CFP ® Board Ethics Education Program.

The full-day Private Wealth Advice program, in collaboration with Yale School of Management, provides up to 8.5 hours of Institute continuing education (CE), including one hour of ethics CE, and will address both tactical and practical advice for advisors serving high-net-worth clients. The half-day CFP ® Board of Ethics Education Program provides CIMA ®, CPWA ® and CFP ® certificants an opportunity to fulfil two hours of ethics CE.

At the Private Wealth Advice workshop, John Nersesian, CIMA®, CPWA®, CIS, CFP®, founder, Nersesian Wealth Education, LLC, will lead a discussion on the specific skills advisors need to serve HNW clients, leveraging insights from the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) program’s core topics, including ethics, applied behavioral finance, tax strategies and more. Mike Van Wyk, vice president of customer research & insights, Capital Group, will explore how to find HNW investors, changing demographics, and emerging wealth segments for your business. Julie Littlechild, founder, AbsoluteEngagement.com, will examine how advisors can reinforce the value of their ethics and expertise through more effective communication, based on findings from the recent “ Investments & Wealth Client Research” study.

The Certified Financial Planner ® (CFP ®) Board Ethics Education Program workshop will feature Marguerita Cheng, CFP®, RICP®, chief executive officer, Blue Ocean Wealth, who will cover how the CFP ® Rules of Conduct can be used to achieve and maintain the highest ethical standards for advisor-client relationships.

After the pre-conference workshops, the conference formally begins with the first general session led by emotional Intelligence expert and psychologist, Daniel Goleman. A variety of learning options provide attendees with an opportunity to learn more about the following topics: investment management, wealth management, advanced business strategies, retirement management, institutional consulting, and the art of wholesaling.

Topics for ACE sessions are 100 percent peer-reviewed and based on the Investments & Wealth Competency Matrix, a foundation for all Institute educational offerings focusing on five knowledge domains covering 22 knowledge sections. The matrix has recently been updated based on a detailed job analysis of more than 2,000 investments and wealth professionals in late 2017.

ACE offers attendees the opportunity to earn up to 32.5 CE hours through pre-conference, conference, and post-conference educational opportunities. Registration is now open. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from leading industry thought-leaders and award-winning academics.
